I know that “bad stuff happens in threes” is B.S.—three of anything will happen if you wait long enough. But Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett (the ultimate 70s poster girl—see left), and Michael Jackson in 3 days? Spooky, especially for someone like me, who came of age in the 1970s.

Ray, I remember that poster on your door in college. Farrah carried her role as an icon with dignity.
Michael was such a gifted young man. I will continue to enjoy his music and mourn our loss.
Each generation has its standouts. These were some of ours.
Go with God friends.

Hey Ray, found this rare one on YouTube. Only 3,280 views and 8 months old.
The Jackson Five singing The National Anthem at the 1970 World Series. Michael of course gets, 'the rockets red glare.'
