Pardon this bit of nostalgia. Forty years ago, when I was 11 going on 12, when I first started listening to music, this song burned itself into my long-term memory. Which might help explain how this white boy got hooked on the blues.

boil and drain three times and set aside to cool, fry up a bunch of bacon and set the bacon asise to cool, in a bowl break half dozen eggs,stir the boiled poke salad into the raw eggs add salt and pepper, scramble it justlike scrambled eggs, crumble the bacon on the finished product and serve with a side of toast. this is the timelees poke salad recipe i grew up with.

Poke salad is poisonous even after boiling 3 time - albeit greatly reduced from the original amount of poison in the leaf. Best bet is to not be tempted.
