I think it is so, so important for smart, good writers like you to write about depression so that those who suffer from it know they're not alone and that other people have not only survived it but conquered it. I was really thrilled to see Real Live Preacher and Chris Rose write about their experiences so eloquently. I think the biggest part of dealing with depression is overcoming the overwhelming hopelessness, and to the extent that any of these blog entries/articles can help people do that, then they've really done a great service.
