Combating identity theft

Marc Orchant gives valuable advice at The Office Weblog on how to protect yourself from identity theft, and how to limit the damage if it ever happens to you. His conclusion motivated me to post this link:

We pass along jokes on the Internet; we pass along just about everything.  But if you are willing to pass this information along, it could really help someone that you care about.
