May 18, 2007 saw the 25th running of the Tchoupitoulas Barathon.*
The idea is simple: six miles, six bars, six beers. There is no set race course; you just have to hit the six bars in proper sequence; the route you take from one bar to the next is up to you.
This event started in the spring of 1983 as a club event, the club being the Tchoupitoulas Social Aid & Athletic Club. The TSA&AC is now just a memory, but the race survives and continues to grow.
On the following pages are some photos taken by my wife and me. Enjoy.

* If you want to get technical, this was actually the 26th Barathon. In 1983, there were two: the very first Barathon in the spring of 1983, and an Octoberfest Barathon the same year. After that, the TSA&AC decided that one a year was plenty.
