Introduction

This year’s 26th Anniversary Barathon saw a changing of the guard. After 25 years as Barathon race director, Ron Brinkman handed the job over to Andrew Lilly. Andrew kept things mostly the same. It’s still a six-mile, six-bars,six-beers race; same race headquarters (Le Bon Temps Roulé); same pits stops along the way (World of Wings (formerly Hofbrau, State Street Cafe, and Lucy's), T.J. Quill’s, Patois (formerly Norby’s and Nardo’s), Franky & Johnny’s, and F&M Patio). Andrew has added a couple of new things to the mix, including an official race web site (where you can get your needs met) and help with logistics from the Big Easy Roller Girls. All in all, this year’s version was another big success.

Unlike prior years, I didn’t take any pictures. But my wife, Suzanne, did. To see them, please enter the gallery.
