I like PEEL insofar as it advocates starting with the point you're trying to make. It's a lesson that I wish the writers of some of the briefs I've read had learned. Tell me your point first so that I can make sense of the other things you're telling me, so that I can see how they fit into the point you're trying to make. That's where IRAC fails as a persuasive tool: you shouldn't be leading up to your conclusion, you should be leading off with it.
